Arcade Machines

Postby Chillibean » Sun Nov 08, 2009 5:08 pm

I've got two arcade machines that I'm reluctantly letting go. I've had them for about ten years, and the plan was to spruce them up, but I've just never got around to it.

When I first got them they worked fine, but over the years they both ground to a halt. I think one of them has a minor electrical fault, whereas the other has a slightly more serious issue (the last time we moved it we had to rest it on an edge and we heard a hissing noise - not sure if it was the tube going...). As such, I'm selling these as 'spares or repairs'. Both machines come with a PCB (a game) included; one of them is Jail Break, I can't remember what the other is. (There are videos and images of them from when they were still working here http://www.flickr.com/photos/andrewcrawshaw/sets/72157621676337706/show/)

The cabinets are fairly sturdy things, and for someone with a bit of time on their hands these would make good MAME cabinets (basically you rip all the insides out and put in a PC with games on it). I'm happy to let anyone that's interested come around and have a peek and a poke before committing. I'm looking for £80 for the pair - unfrtunately I can't offer delivery. If you're interested, drop me a PM or an email to: andrew@&&thunkd.&&com (remove both pairs of &'s from the address).

I'm happy to let these go for free, the only proviso being that whoever claims them takes both of them (and preferably before Xmas).
